Women Leading When the Heat is On – For Women in Public Safety – (20-Hours)

Welcome to the “Women Leading When the Heat is On” Leadership Workshop. For the first time in history, women are stepping into leadership roles within all aspects of Public Safety. Given the times of uncertainty that we are in, effective leadership is needed now more than ever before and as a woman in leadership in this profession, everything about you will be tested and you must know how to respond to remain effective and not be burned.

It takes courage, perseverance, and fortitude to effectively lead others in the aftermath in today’s dynamic work environments. Being a woman in authority within a profession that has been traditionally male dominated, certainly presents its own set of unique challenges which will be discussed during this training.

During this engaging 20-hour session, we will have a high-level leadership conversation where we will:

  • Discuss several No-Nonsense wisdom truths of leadership for women.
  • Examine challenges in your workplace now versus pre COVID-19.   
  • Identify, confront, and remove the lids, caps and self-imposed barriers that can diminish your efficiency as a leader.    
  • Learn the language, behaviors, and habits of effective, uncommon leaders. 
  • Consider the perceptions and characteristics of strong women vs. no-nonsense women of strength. 
  • Discuss how to survive in highly political work environments and maintain your integrity.
  • Examine our external and internal triggers of conflict and how to effectively manage our responses to them.
  • Learn the 4 areas to speak to and focus on when professionalizing conflict.
  • Review our online Behavioral Intelligence Reports assessments to understand our strengths, possible limitations, and our impact on those that we influence.
